Johns Hopkins Policies

All members of the Johns Hopkins community are responsible for creating and maintaining a safe academic environment and workplace. In order to reaffirm their commitment to a safe learning and working environment, Johns Hopkins University and Johns Hopkins Hospital and Health System adopted policies that call for zero tolerance of violent behavior, threats, and intimidation.  Human Resources, Security, JHU and JHHS Legal, and the Faculty and Staff Assistance Program work together closely to develop and implement policies and procedures that minimize the risk of violence.  All employees at every level should be committed to treating people with dignity and respect and resolving conflicts peacefully.

Johns Hopkins will not permit employment-based retaliation against anyone who, in good faith, brings a complaint of workplace violence or who speaks as a witness in the investigation of a complaint of workplace violence.
