Report Disruptive Behavior

While not all disruptive behaviors move toward violence across the Continuum of Disruptive Behaviors at Work, high risk behaviors on the continuum started with disruptive behavior. It is important to recognize these behaviors and offer appropriate intervention and support so they do not cause greater disruption to faculty, staff, students, and the community.

If you experience or witness a pattern of disruptive behaviors at Johns Hopkins that does not present an immediate safety risk, talk with your supervisor, manager, or academic advisor or chair and share with him or her the events you observed and how they impacted your job or academic responsibilities.

If you would like to file a report, please complete one of the Disruptive Behavior Reporting forms below.

Reported behaviors of concern and acts of violence will be responded to and handled in a manner that respects the privacy of all involved. If warranted, a thorough, systematic, and consistent evaluation will be conducted by the multi-disciplinary Risk Assessment Team who investigates all reports and provides guidance to management.

Johns Hopkins will not permit employment-based retaliation against anyone who, in good faith, brings a complaint of workplace violence or who speaks as a witness in the investigation of a complaint of workplace violence.
